How can design challenge young adults to think critically about politics?





A board game that accompanies young adults through a critical thinking process to form their own political opinions. 


Considering ideas outside of one’s upbringing is an important part of identity development for emerging adults, yet the silencing effects of cancel culture and echo chambers can create barriers to thinking critically about the political issues we face today. Your Politics aims to dismantle these by encouraging players to seek diverse viewpoints and become aware of their own biases and preconceptions.

The game design intentionally incorporates mechanisms that promote active listening, self-reflection and the exploration of multiple viewpoints to accompany the players as they explore a chosen issue from various perspectives.
